So again we search for at new place to host our videos.
Yesterday while going thru the website I saw that the videos did not work, so I headed over to the site and lo and behold, it was gone!
Oh well you get what you pay for - which in both cases was nothing.
What to do?
I headed over to google and to see if there where any new youporn clones out there.
I did manage to find a few, so now to find the right one!!
We have a few criteria that need to be meet before we can use the site as a video host, albeit a free video host (how these guys make money is beyond me, but thats for an other blog).
The criteria we have for a good (free) video hosting service are as follows:
- Free (that’s a given)
- Provides an embeddable player (so we can play it on our website)
- Allow for bi/gay content
- Allow for long videos, no time limit to video length
- Allow for big files, about 100 MB files
- Video must be scalable. So widescreen videos are not distorted
The video host one we found yesterday as a replacement are able to meet most of these criteria, except the one about scalability, each user has to manually adjust the format of the widescreen videos so that they do not look squeezed.
Anyhow, if you know of a website that has what we’re looking for, perhaps you would be so kind as to drop us a line or put it in a comment so that we can have a look at it.
